CORIN GROUP PLC
BOARD CHANGES
Corin, the innovative developer, manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of
orthopaedic devices, announces that Peter Gibson, Executive Chairman and
Founder, will be stepping down at the end of September 2003. Graeme Hart, a
non-executive director, will become non-executive Chairman.
Peter Gibson, Executive Chairman, commented:
"It has always been my intention to step down once Corin was firmly established
as a quoted company. That has now been achieved while the company has continued
its rapid growth with pre-tax profits increasing by 62% last year. As Corin is
on course for sustainable growth, now is a good time for me to move on."
Graeme Hart, Non-Executive Chairman-designate, said:
"Since Peter founded Corin in 1985 he has been fully committed to maximising the
potential of the business, identifying new markets and technologies and more
recently driving it forward to a very successful flotation on the London Stock
Exchange. My colleagues and I on the Board would like to put on record our deep
and sincere gratitude to Peter for his outstanding contribution to the success
of Corin.
"Peter has also recruited a first class team to take Corin forward on the next
stage of its international development. Ian Paling, Corin's Chief Executive,
who has been progressively widening his executive responsibilities since the
company floated last year, will now take over all outstanding operational
management."
