PATRIA HAGGLUNDS RECEIVES AMOS SERIES ORDER

Patria Hagglunds Oy, jointly owned by Finnish Patria and Alvis Hagglunds of
Sweden, has today been awarded a contract by the Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) of
24 AMOS (Advanced MOrtar System) turret systems integrated on Patria's
new-generation armoured modular vehicle, Patria AMV 8x8. Deliveries will
take place between 2006 and 2009. Total value of the order is over EUR 100
million with the value of the work undertaken split approximately 50/50 between
Finland and Sweden.

This production order follows the prototype phase, for which a contract was
awarded in June 1999 by the FDF.

The order, which will require approximately 670 man-years of work, will have a
strong positive effect on employment both in Finland and Sweden.

Mr. Vesa Vuorenpaa, President of Patria Hagglunds:

"The contract with the Finnish Defence Forces is of great significance for
Patria Hagglunds. The contract gives a solid basis for the serial production of
AMOS. This order further strengths AMOS' position as a trendsetter of mortar
systems in an international context as well as supports our marketing efforts
abroad."

AMOS represents the latest technology in turret systems. It is able to operate
autonomously with impressive firepower, including direct and indirect fire
capability. The AMOS turret comprises a twin barrel 120 mm mortar with
automatic ammunition handling and electronic target engagement and firing
systems. AMOS can utilise current ammunition stocks and is also compatible
with future 120 mm mortar ammunition, such as Cargo and Guided mortar
ammunition. AMOS is designed to be integrated into a wide range of tracked and
wheeled platforms and also on fast combat boats.

Furthermore, Patria Hagglunds sold a technology license to the American AAI
Corporation in January 2003. AAI will offer AMOS as the mortar element of the
Future Combat Systems (FCS) program in the United States.

Patria Hagglunds Oy, based in Tampere, Finland, is responsible for coordination
of the further development and international marketing of the AMOS new
generation mortar system. In addition, the company delivers the CV9030 FIN
Infantry Fighting Vehicles to the Finnish Defence Forces.
