Zoetis Inc. on Tuesday said it has fired Glenn David as
executive vice president and group president of U.S. operations,
global diagnostics and biodevices, for violating company
policy.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission,
Zoetis said Mr. David engaged in a consensual personal relationship
with a colleague and failed to disclose it to the Parsippany, N.J.,
animal-health company.
Zoetis said Mr. David, who joined former parent Pfizer Inc. in
1999 and helped lead Zoetis through its 2013 initial public
offering and separation, won't be eligible for any severance
benefits or future equity vesting, adding that his conduct has no
impact on the company's consolidated financial statements or its
internal controls over financial reporting.
Zoetis said William Dorsey, vice president of finance, will
serve as interim head of U.S. operations and global diagnostics
while the company conducts a search for Mr. David's permanent
replacement.
