McKesson Names Brian Tyler President, Chief Operating Officer

McKesson Corp. (MCK) on Tuesday said it named Brian Tyler president and chief operating officer, effective Aug. 2.

The San Francisco pharmaceutical wholesaler said Mr. Tyler, 51 years old, will report to Chairman and Chief Executive John Hammergren and will become a member of the executive committee. Mr. Hammergren also currently holds the post of president.

Mr. Tyler has been chairman of the management board of McKesson Europe AG since 2017.

McKesson also said Nick Loporcaro, president of its U.S. pharmaceutical and specialty health segment, is leaving on Aug. 10 to pursue other opportunities. The company said Mr. Tyler will lead the segment directly until it names Mr. Loporcaro's replacement.
