MLM Martin Marietta Materials Inc

Texas Industries Inc. (TXI) in advanced talks for a potential sale to Martin Marietta Materials Inc. (MLM), and an agreement on a transaction could come as early as next week, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Texas Industries is working with Citigroup Inc. (C) in its search for a buyer, the people said.

Shares of Texas Industries recently traded up 7% to $73.66, while shares of Martin Marietta were recently down 4% to $104.65.
