/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wyndgate Technologies(R) ("Wyndgate"), a
division of Global Med Technologies(R), Inc. (OTC:GLOB) (BULLETIN
BOARD: GLOB) ("Global Med" or the "Company"), announced the
installation of its products, SafeTrace(R) donor management system

Med Technologies has reached yet another of its projected
milestones -- contracting and implementing our donor management and
transfusion management software products in over 300 facilities,"
said Michael I. Ruxin, M.D., Chairman and CEO of Global Med
Technologies. Dr. Ruxin added, "Quality and safety have been the
foundation stones for our success in providing high quality
products and services through continuous improvement. Our success
is proven by our loyal customer base, as well as our growing list
of prestigious new clients in the United States and
internationally." Dr. Ruxin continued, "Our next milestone is 500
sites, and we have more than enough prospects in the pipeline to
see that business materializing in the foreseeable future. In
addition we have our sights set on achieving critical mass, meaning
that our recurring maintenance revenue will cover all of our
expenses. Thereafter, the vast majority of our new sales revenues
will drop to the bottom line. That will mean substantial
profitability for Global Med." Wyndgate Technologies developed the
SafeTrace Tx advanced transfusion management system in
collaboration with the Institute for Transfusion Medicine in
Pittsburgh, PA. SafeTrace Tx is a Microsoft(R) Windows(R)-based,
feature-rich hospital transfusion service management system that is
uniquely designed and proven to fully support enterprise-wide
centralized transfusion services management, in addition to its
demonstrated success in the small hospital/laboratory environment.
SafeTrace Tx's features include complete patient, specimen, order
and test management, along with consolidated inventory management
and tracking. SafeTrace Tx has many built-in safety features, such
as special needs capture by diagnosis, product suitability
determination, comprehensive compatibility routines and special
donation tracking. SafeTrace Tx can assist in enhancing the
efficiency of operations and streamlining workflow through advanced
functionality, such as electronic and remote crossmatching,
automatic charge capture, interfaces with automated patient testing
instruments, and integration with the hospital and laboratory
information systems. Wyndgate also developed SafeTrace, a
comprehensive donor management system built on an Oracle relational
database management system. Its features include donor management
from recruitment and collection through testing, labeling and final
distribution. The efficiency of the donor management operation can
be enhanced by utilizing the Mobile Donor Management module to
manage mobile donor registration and collections. Additional
functionality beyond the core donor management system includes
Donor Web Scheduler, which enables donors to conveniently schedule
donor appointments via the Web, and the new Web-Based Report
Server, enabling clients to generate custom reports. Current
Wyndgate clients manage more than 3 million units of blood, or over
22% of the U.S. blood supply, each year. The combination of
SafeTrace and SafeTrace Tx provides Vein-to-Vein(R) tracking from
donor collection to patient transfusion. About Global Med
