- Wyndgate's Service 360(TM) Initiative in Action - DENVER, April 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wyndgate Technologies(R), a division of Global Med Technologies(R), Inc. (OTC:GLOB) (BULLETIN BOARD: GLOB) , proudly announced today its success in bringing Forrest General Hospital live on Wyndgate's SafeTrace Tx(R)* transfusion management system several months ahead of schedule. The early go-live was made necessary when Forrest General's previous system failed. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20040226/GLOBALMEDLOGO ) Forrest General purchased Wyndgate's transfusion management system after being informed that, allegedly, its existing system had been "sunsetted," meaning the system's provider would no longer sell, service, or provide technical support. While still using the system from their prior vendor during the regular implementation of SafeTrace Tx, Forrest General received a "Blue Screen of Death" (BSoD) that indicated an unrecoverable error. Finding the hospital stranded without a functioning transfusion management system, the blood bank team at Forrest General turned to Wyndgate for help. Remembering the situation, Sandi Thames, Chief Technologist of Laboratory Services at Forrest General, stated, "When our existing system went down, we called our IS department, but their efforts to access the system proved to be in vain. Once we realized that the old system could not be restored, we contacted Wyndgate and requested an 'emergency go-live' on Wyndgate's SafeTrace Tx System." With the scheduled go-live date still a couple of months away, interfaces were still being developed, but validation and training were complete. Wyndgate's team responded quickly and was able to complete Forrest General's implementation and bring the hospital live on SafeTrace Tx in less than one day. "Wyndgate's response was amazing. They immediately dispatched a project manager and cleaned up the database. In just a few hours, we were live. Over the next few days, Wyndgate's team members continued to hold our hand. We went live on SafeTrace Tx with no issues, thanks to the Wyndgate team. Wyndgate's efforts and quick response were key," stated Ms. Thames. Timothy Pellegrini, Vice President of Operations at Wyndgate Technologies, remarked, "We are very pleased that we were able to assist Forrest General when they were having difficulties with their former system. Wyndgate recognized the necessity of having an effective and reliable blood bank system and understood the importance of getting Forrest General running on SafeTrace Tx as quickly as possible." Wyndgate largely attributes Forrest General's rapid go-live to the Company's new Service 360(TM) customer service initiative, which was launched less than a year ago to promote superior customer service. The initiative focuses on meeting customers' needs and rewards employees for exhibiting characteristics such as responsiveness, accessibility, and reliability. Commenting on Wyndgate's Service 360, Mr. Pellegrini continued, "Wyndgate Technologies is very committed to Service 360 and we are excited to see positive results of this program in action. We are very proud of our team members who worked so diligently to make this happen. Our people are making Service 360 a reality for our customers."
