Item 2.05 Costs Associated with Exit or Disposal Activities.
On February 21, 2020, Corteva, Inc. (“Corteva”) approved restructuring actions designed to improve productivity through optimizing certain operational and organizational structures primarily related to the Execute to Win Productivity Program. Corteva expects to record total pre-tax restructuring and asset-related charges of approximately $185 million, comprised of approximately $95 million of asset related charges, $60 million of severance and related benefit costs and $30 million of asset retirement obligations. Future cash payments related to this charge are anticipated to be approximately $90 million, primarily related to the payment of severance and related benefits and asset retirement obligations. The restructuring actions associated with this charge are expected to be substantially complete in 2020.
