Anthem Ending Express Scripts Agreement Early

Anthem Inc. (ANTM) said it is ending its pharmacy-benefits
management agreement with Express Scripts Inc. before the end of
this year because Express Scripts was recently bought by Cigna
Corp. (CI).
Anthem said Wednesday the agreement will end March 1. The
company has informed Express Scripts it will end the agreement.
The agreement was supposed to expire at the end of 2019.
Anthem said the transition period for that business, which will
take a year, will start the day after the agreement ends.
