AMX America Movil SAB de CV

Austrian privatization agency OIAG said Friday it welcomes America Movil SAB's (AMX.MX) acquisition of a 21% stake in Telekom Austria AG (TKA.VI).

"The investor is well positioned financially and stragically and has long-term strategic interest especially in central and eastern Europe," the agency said, which itself holds a 28.42% stake in Telekom Austria.

OIAG said it had spoken with a number of potential investors about Telekom Austria, and is convinced America Movil has the company's best interests in view, including strategy, location and its listing in Vienna.
