Eni Confirms Pipeline Attack In Nigeria Clough Creek Area

Italian energy giant Eni SpA (E) Friday said a pipeline has been
attacked in the Clough Creek area of Nigeria's Delta region.
The attack was claimed by the Movement for the Emancipation of
the Niger Delta, or MEND, the region's most active militant group,
which also said it plans further actions, Eni said.
Earlier, MEND said it had attacked and destroyed one wellhead
and one manifold on trunk lines belonging to Agip SpA, a unit of
Eni.
There was no immediate indication of whether production was
affected.
