Have you always had a sneaking suspicion that you could write a sitcom? Is your sketch comedy troupe better than Saturday Night Live? Do you have an idea for the next great mini-series? Project Spotlight wants to help you bring your idea to life and expand it into an episodic series to be featured on Webshots (www.webshots.com), one of the Internet�s most active photo and video sharing communities. Project Spotlight (www.webshots.com/spotlight.html) is a first-of-its-kind creative development program designed to identify, reward and spotlight groundbreaking video entertainment on the Web. In addition to original scripted series, the Project will seek out works of documentary film and citizen journalism that exemplify the unique capabilities of Web-based media. Project Spotlight is currently seeking original show proposals from budding filmmakers, talented amateurs and small production houses. The selected creators will receive production funding of up to $20,000 and the resources to expand their idea into a series to be featured on Webshots.
