SpectraLink Launches VIEW Certification Program Program to Provide Interoperability and Performance Testing of Enterprise Wi-Fi Infrastructure for Voice Applications BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SpectraLink Corporation (NASDAQ:SLNK), a leader in enterprise wireless communications, today announced a new program to certify Wi-Fi wireless LAN equipment to support enterprise mobile telephony applications. The SpectraLink VIEW (Voice Interoperability for Enterprise Wireless) Certification Program is designed to ensure interoperability between Wi-Fi telephony client devices and wireless LAN infrastructure. Additionally, SpectraLink VIEW certified products must meet enterprise-grade performance criteria for voice quality, security, capacity, and roaming. SpectraLink VIEW certification focuses on implementing industry standards to support the unique requirements of Wi-Fi telephony in enterprise environments. SpectraLink pioneered the use of a Wi-Fi compatible quality of service (QoS) mechanism -- SpectraLink Voice Priority (SVP) -- to ensure consistent, excellent voice quality on converged wireless networks. SpectraLink VIEW certification builds on the success of SVP by incorporating security and performance requirements in addition to standards-based QoS.
