Explanatory Note

The purpose of this Amendment No. 1 to the Current Report on Form 8-K filed by First Eagle Alternative Capital BDC, Inc. with the Securities and Exchange Commission on February 23, 2023 (the “Original Form 8-K”) is solely to correct a typographical error in the press release and to furnish an updated version of Exhibit 99.1 that is attached hereto (“Exhibit”). No other changes have been made to the Original Form 8-K.
