The multifaceted Developer Program is designed to help both Altiris users and business partners extend the value of Altiris solutions. New Software Development Kits help users easily integrate Altiris solutions with third-party or homegrown applications. The SDKs also provide a development environment for Altiris business partners to extend Altiris solution functionality by building new solutions based on the Altiris service-oriented architecture. Depending on the scope of the development project, Altiris now offers two software development kits as part of the Altiris Developer Program. * The Administrator Software Development Kit (ASDK) helps Altiris customers extend and customize their Altiris investment with additional functionality or connections to other management solutions. * The Solution Developer Software Development Kit (SSDK) helps partners or ISVs build new or extend existing applications on the Altiris service-oriented architecture. As a first mover in the Altiris Developer Program, Altrinsic Solutions has leveraged the Altiris Solution Developer Software Development Kit to create EnterSpy Enterprise Spyware Solution (ESS) as the first anti-spyware product to be built on the Altiris service-oriented architecture.
