Russian Ruble Falls To Record Low Against U.S. Dollar

The Russian ruble weakened against the U.S. dollar ahead of
European session on Wednesday.
Against the greenback, the ruble fell to a record low of 41.02
from an early high of 40.57. At yesterday's close, the ruble was
trading at 40.70 against the greenback.
Russia's central bank pushed the rouble's trading band to 36.70
to 45.70 versus its euro-dollar basket on Wednesday. The central
bank automatically intervenes to defend the rouble once it crosses
the boundaries of its trading band.
