STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2003--
Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) today announced the election of Rhonda
L. Seegal as corporate vice president and treasurer, effective April
21. As treasurer, Seegal will be responsible for the capital structure
of the corporation, including developing worldwide funding strategies
as well as serving as the primary interface to the capital markets and
credit rating agencies.
Seegal joins Xerox from Avaya Inc., where she has been vice president
and treasurer since its spin-off from Lucent in the fall of 2000.
"As Xerox continues to further strengthen its operations, Rhonda's
experience and expertise will be important contributors to our
success," said Lawrence A. Zimmerman, Xerox senior vice president and
chief financial officer, to whom Seegal will report. "Her proven
management skills are complemented by a deep knowledge of global
finance strategy, operations, cash management and risk management."
Prior to Avaya, Seegal served as deputy treasurer of General Electric
Co. from 1996-2000 and was vice president and treasurer of The
Perkin-Elmer Corp. from 1986-1996.
Seegal holds a master's degree in business administration from the
Harvard Business School. She graduated from Simmons College in Boston,
where she received a bachelor of arts degree in communications and
Spanish in 1972.
