A unit of Stellantis NV is urging owners of about 276,000 Dodge
and Chrysler model vehicles to stop driving following three deaths
that have been linked in recent months to faulty air bags in the
vehicles.
A spokesperson for FCA US LLC said Thursday that there have been
two confirmed deaths in the last seven months caused by a rupture
of Takata driver-side air-bags, which were recalled in 2015.
FCA warns that about 276,000 vehicles have yet to address the
recall, and should immediately stop driving until they can get
their air-bags replaced for free at an FCA-brand dealer.
