PR Newswire (US)
OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- iSECUREtrac Corp.
(OTC:ISEC) (BULLETIN BOARD: ISEC) , an industry leader in
electronic monitoring solutions, announced today an award for GPS
monitoring systems and services in Maine. The US Probation and
Pretrial Service Offices in ME will rely upon the new iSECUREtrac
System 5000 for active GPS to monitor adult defendants and
offenders. "iSECUREtrac's System 5000 is a big leap forward in
compliance monitoring," said Peter Michel, president and CEO of
iSECUREtrac Corp. "The inconspicuous size of the tracking unit
makes the System 5000 ideal for use with defendants. And, its
advanced tracking capabilities make it the best choice for high
risk offenders." The System 5000 active GPS provides location and
compliance information in real-time. Equipped with the most recent
advance in GPS components, the System 5000 tracks individuals even
in the most difficult terrains including urban canyons. Maine US
Probation and Pretrial Services is using the System 5000 on high
risk offenders in order to reduce the risks to public safety and
non-appearance at court. Based upon data compiled by state and
federal agencies, there are over 10,000 adults under correctional
supervision within Maine. Maine was able to purchase iSECUREtrac
systems and services through a national contract negotiated earlier
in the year by the California Central District Court in Los
Angeles. As a result of an intensive review and evaluation
iSECUREtrac was selected from among seven (7) competing systems by
the US Courts to provide GPS monitoring systems and services. The
multi-year award, including potential renewals, runs through 2012.
