PR Newswire (US)
OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- iSECUREtrac Corp.
(OTC:ISEC) (BULLETIN BOARD: ISEC) , an industry leader in
electronic monitoring solutions, announced today the award of two
new contracts in New York and New Jersey. Nassau County, NY and
Burlington County, NJ will rely upon iSECUREtrac to supply active
and passive GPS systems as well as house arrest units. iSECUREtrac
active GPS provides location and compliance information in
real-time, while passive GPS provides reports on a delayed basis.
The house arrest or curfew management system provides information
regarding an individual's presence or absence at a specific
location, usually a residence, during specified time periods.
"iSECUREtrac is looking forward to providing New Jersey and New
York with electronic monitoring solutions to satisfy the mandatory
surveillance of sex offenders, ease overcrowded jails and relieve
overburdened budgets," said Peter Michel, president and CEO of
iSECUREtrac Corp. "Our full service solutions are designed to help
ensure public safety and provide all the assistance necessary for
the agency to effectively manage offender compliance." Nassau
County, New York will utilize iSECUREtrac's System 5000 (R) to
monitor offenders as part of their release. Typically, offenders
will be required to wear an iSECUREtrac System 5000 for a six month
period or as a condition of their probation if they have exhibited
high risk behavior. Using iSECUREtrac's System 5000, officers
create exclusion zones or geo-fences around parks and elementary
schools, for example. If a monitored individual visits any of the
areas designated as "off limits", the officer is immediately
notified and the violation is automatically logged. Burlington
County, New Jersey will use iSECUREtrac systems as a tool to ease
jail overcrowding. Low-risk offenders monitored by iSECUREtrac will
serve their sentence under house arrest rather than inside a county
jail. In addition to easing over-crowded conditions, it will cost
the counties significantly less to supervise low-risk offenders
with electronic monitoring. About iSECUREtrac iSECUREtrac Corp.
provides electronic monitoring systems, client management software
and supplemental services for use in community supervision. The
company's rich stream of reliable data concerning a client's
location, movement and status better enables effective compliance
management and positive behavior modification. Visit
