FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 25 March 2003

                             Medical Solutions plc

                          APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR

Nottingham, UK: Medical Solutions plc ("Medical Solutions" or "Group") announces
the strengthening of its Main Board with the appointment of a new executive
director. Dr Ian Ellis, currently Managing Director of Pathlore, has been
promoted to the role of Medical Director, with immediate effect.

Ian Ellis joined Medical Solutions in 2001 with the sole remit to set up a
division to undertake contract pathology work for UK hospitals and NHS trusts -
this division, now called Pathlore, is now one of Medical's most successful,
fast growing divisions.

In addition to his executive role at Medical, Dr Ellis will remain a Reader in
Pathology at the University of Nottingham and Honorary Consultant
Histopathologist at Nottingham City Hospital. He has an international
reputation, particularly in the classification of breast cancer, and is
regularly invited to speak at National and International meetings on aspects of
breast pathology. He is the author of over 200 peer reviewed publications; a
Fellow and a Speciality Advisor of The Royal College of Pathologists and sits on
a range of committees specialising in breast pathology. He has acted as an
advisor to the Department of Health, World Health Organisation and IARC.

It is also announced today that Rod Adams has stepped down from the Board
following the successful sale of Adams Healthcare, as announced earlier this
year.

Sir Gareth Roberts, Chairman of Medical Solutions, commenting on this recent
appointment stated:

"I am delighted to welcome Ian to the Board. Ian leads a team, which includes
some of the best Pathologists in the world, and the development of PathLore has
been impressive, and in large part due to Ian's wealth of expertise in this
area. Pathlore has now established a solid business, based on the provision of
pathology services to the National Health Service, which is underpinned by the
technologies provided by Medical's other core divisions. "

"The convergence of world-renowned expertise, state of the art reference
laboratory facilities and innovative image analysis and quantitation technology
that we now have within the Group ensures the provision of high quality
validated data required for accelerating drug development and clinical trials."

"My thanks also go to Dr Rod Adams whose resignation was received following the
sale of Adams Healthcare."

Medical solutions can advise that there are no further details relating to the
appointment of Ian Ellis, which it is obliged to disclose under paragraph 6.F.2
(b-g) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.

Medical Solutions will be announcing its preliminary results for the year ending
31 December 2002 on Monday, 31 March 2003.
