db-X 2040 Target Date Fund - Zacks ETF Series
December 30 2011 - 7:37AM
Zacks
TDV is a lifecycle fund designed for investors who were planning
to retire or have a life event in 2040. The fund looks to employ an
aggressive asset allocation strategy with heavy exposure to
equities and a very small holding in bonds.
This db-X In-Target Date Fund seeks investment results generally
corresponding to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the
Zacks 2040 Lifecycle Index-a passively managed, rules based
methodology comprised of publicly traded common stock, bonds and
ADRs developed by Zacks Investment Research. Index constituents
represent a diversified group of securities from three broad asset
classes: international equities, domestic equities and fixed
income. Currently, fixed income makes up just under one-tenth of
the portfolio while international equities make up a little under
one-fourth of the total holdings, leaving the vast majority of the
fund in domestic stocks (close to 65%). Investors should note that
as the retirement date approaches, the fund will shift more of its
equity exposure over into fixed income, thereby reducing volatility
but also cutting down on the possibility for returns. For more
information check out TDV's home page.
