Tesoro (TSO) said Tuesday that operations at its Mandan refinery in North Dakota had resumed targeted rates following the completion of repairs to the furnace damanged by fire on January 19. The furnace serviced the alkylation unit.

BP PLC (BP) Tuesday notified California state environmental regulators of its plan to flare excess emissions at its Carson refinery starting on Wednesday through March 23. The flaring is not due to equipment breakdown, the company said.

Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) said Monday that operations at its oil refinery in Benicia, Calif., were back at planned rates following the unplanned shutdown Friday of a hydrocracking unit, or HCU.

Motiva (RDSA) Enterprises LLC Sunday reported an emissions event associated with the start up of a process unit at it's 234,700-barrels-a-day oil refinery in Norco, Louisiana; the unit was not identified.

BP (BP) Saturday said FCCU No. 3 at its Texas City, Texas, refinery resumed operations following an unplanned shutdown on March 11, filings to Texas state environmental regulators said.

West Coast refiners including Valero Energy Corp. (VLO), Chevron Corp. (CVX), Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), Tesoro Corp. (TSO), Royal Dutch Shell (RDSA) and BP Plc (BP) Friday said their operations were not affected by the tsunami caused by the massive earthquake in Japan.

Alon USA Energy Inc. (ALJ) reported that a snag on the SCOT emissions unit located at its Big Spring, Texas, refinery March 11, according to a filing with state environmental regulators.
