/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CGI Federal, Inc., a wholly-owned U.S.
operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A)
today announced that it was selected by the Office of Federal
Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) to continue work on OFHEO's
Examiner Workstation (xWorks) under a GSA IT Schedule Contract
Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The BPA runs for five years
(including option periods) and covers further enhancements to
xWorks, along with operations and maintenance support. xWorks is a
business process management application that automates many of the
manual processing steps OFHEO Examiners use to document their
assessments of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. CGI has been working
with OFHEO to implement and enhance xWorks since 2005. The initial
phase of the project included design and implementation of the
system, including automating business processes, records and case
management, front-end capture, and a portal-based web 2.0
interface. Since then, CGI has helped OFHEO complete an
examinations business process reengineering effort in parallel with
regular software release cycles, and ongoing infrastructure and
application management support. Additionally, CGI Federal has
supported application security, aiding OFHEO's Certification &
Accreditation activities and clearance. "OFHEO has been a valued
client of CGI since 2005, and we are pleased that they continue to
put their trust in us in the development and support of xWorks,"
said George Schindler, President of CGI Federal. "The BPA will
allow CGI to continue providing services which help OFHEO achieve
its mission." About CGI Federal CGI Federal
