                        Director Transactions


Directors of Kenmare Resources plc have been involved in transactions
in the Company's shares. Five directors exercised options which  were
due to expire today. Some of  the resulting shares have been held  by
those directors  and  the  balance have  been  purchased  by  another
director.  Following these transactions and the exercise of  warrants
announced on 5th January, director holdings have changed as follows:

Chairman Charles Carvill exercised  warrants over 400,000 shares  and
held all the resulting shares.   This has increased his  shareholding
from 4,278,157  shares  to  4,678,157  shares,  which  represents  an
increase in his shareholding of 9%.

Michael Carvill exercised options and warrants over 1,976,629  shares
and held 362,648  shares. This  has increased  his shareholding  from
2,337,352 shares to 2,700,000 shares, which represents an increase in
his shareholding of 15%.

Tony McCluskey exercised options over 480,000 shares and held  52,320
shares. This has  increased his shareholding  from 147,680 shares  to
200,000 shares, which represents an  increase in his shareholding  of
35%.

Deputy Chairman, Donal Kinsella has purchased 2,691,661 shares. This
has increased his shareholding from 1,253,837 shares to 3,945,498
shares, which represents an increase in his shareholding of 215%.

Dr. Alastair Brown exercised warrants over 40,000 shares and held all
the resulting  shares.  This  has  increased  his  shareholding  from
147,070 shares to 187,070 shares, which represents an increase in his
shareholding of 27%.

Non-executive  Director  Terry  Fitzpatrick  exercised  options  over
360,000 shares  and disposed  of these  shares. His  shareholding  of
37,994 shares remains unchanged.

Further details of  the transactions  are contained  in the  relevant
regulatory notifications, including Schedules 11 released in  respect
of the warrants on 5th January and the options today.
