                        Purchase by Employee Share Trust


The Company has been notified that the Braemar Shipping Services plc Employee
Share Option Plan (the "ESOP") acquired 12,119 ordinary shares in the Company on
2 January 2008 at a price of 443.162 pence per share.  Accordingly, the ESOP now
holds 580,014 ordinary shares in Braemar Shipping Services plc, representing
2.82 per cent. of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital.
