LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hannover
House, the operating division of Target Development Group, Inc.
(Pinksheets: TDGI) has pegged a goal of January 2, 2012 as the effective date for the
company's current activities to rename and rebrand the
company. Filings are in motion with both the Wyoming Secretary of State's office and the
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority to rename the company as
"Hannover House, Inc." and to change the stock trading ticker
symbol to "HHSE."
"Renaming and rebranding the company makes sense," said
Fred Shefte, President of both
Hannover House and Target Development Group, Inc. "Hannover
House has been operating since 1993, and has generated solid
visibility and a rapidly growing brand name awareness. We've
spent millions of dollars in advertising with the Hannover House
logo on ads, films and videos, and feel that a rebranding of the
parent company will benefit from this consumer awareness."
Target Development Group, Inc. acquired Truman Press, Inc., d/b/a "Hannover House" in a
stock-for-stock swap effective January
1, 2010. Except for some limited real estate assets,
Target had minimal activity prior to the acquisition of Hannover
House. On the other hand, Hanover House has been publishing
books since 1993, releasing videos since 2002 and distributing
independent films to theatres since 2009. Hannover House
books have hit the New York Times Bestseller's list, and Hannover
House videos have been, and are still, carried by most major
retailers. The company is recognized as one of only twelve
"full service" independent entertainment distributors, capable of
handling all formats of North American media releasing
internally.
In other news, steady retail sales activities for the recent
home video release of "Turtle: The Incredible Journey" has
encouraged Walmart Stores, Inc., to place order commitments for two
additional Hannover House titles. Effective Feb. 7, 2012, Walmart Stores nationwide will be
carrying home video products of the Hanover House romantic-comedy,
"All's Faire In Love" and the sci-fi thriller "Boggy Creek: The
Legend is True."
"We're very pleased to have this strong support of Walmart on
key titles from Hannover House," said Shefte. "This early
placement commitment on both titles could have a positive impact to
encourage other major retailers to look at these items, and could
indicate significant sales potential."
