Atlantic Wind & Solar Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AWSL), a leading edge renewable energy company positioned to capture significant market share in the true growth sector of the 21st century, announced plans today to develop, construct, own and operate, five additional rooftop solar energy parks.

Today's news brings the company's total reported, utility scale, commercial/industrial rooftop solar energy projects in Ontario to nineteen (19).

The nineteen independent systems have all entered into their final pre-construction stage and will advance into construction using a phased roll out plan, immediately following Power Purchase Agreement approval from the Ontario Power Authority.

The accomplished projects will have a combined output power capacity of approximately 3 megawatts -- enough clean energy to supply over 2800 modern homes.

Atlantic Wind & Solar CEO Mr. Pierre Cousin commented, "Today's news confirms that we are continuously advancing projects from our pipeline, through our qualifying process, into their final pre-construction stage. We look forward to begin reporting confirmed construction dates for these projects soon... Our pipeline has grown to be several hundred megawatts in size in a relatively short period of time, and continues to grow weekly, solidifying that we have positioned ourselves accordingly to capture a significant percentage of the worldwide increased demand for renewable energy."

The power generated from the reported projects is expected to be sold directly into the grid, for a contracted period of 20 years, under the terms and conditions of the Ontario government's Feed-in-Tariff Program.
