Anglo American South Africa Deputy Chairman Moves to Amplats

Anglo American PLC (AAL.LN) said Friday that Norman Mbazima has
been appointed nonexecutive chairman of its majority-owned Anglo
American Platinum Ltd. (AMS.JO) subsidiary, known as Amplats.
The diversified mining company said Mr. Mbazima is set to retire
as deputy chairman of Anglo American's South Africa business on
June 30.
Anglo American CEO Mark Cutifani hailed Mr. Mbazima's
"exceptional contribution" of 18 years of service at Anglo
American, during which time he served as the chief executive of the
company's Kumba iron ore operation and South Africa coal
business.
