Cyrte Could Have Sold BRL330 Million In Vivo Shares - Report

Cyrte Investments BV may have sold 330 million Brazilian reals
($187.2 million) in voting shares in leading Brazilian cellphone
operator Vivo Participacoes (VIV, VIVO4.BR), local business daily
Valor Economico reported Wednesday.
Morgan Stanley on Tuesday coordinated the sale of 3.7 million
Vivo voting shares, the equivalent to 2.7% of the company, on the
BM&FBovespa exchange.
According to Valor, among minority shareholders, only Cyrte has
this size of holding. Cyrte officials weren't immediately available
for comment.
Telefonica SA (TEF, TEF.MC) has bid EUR7.15 billion to buy
Portugal Telecom SGPS SA's (PT, PTC.LB) stake in Vivo, although
that offer ends Friday.
