“Mayor Menino has been a devoted supporter of and advocate for Boston’s youth, therefore we want to honor his leadership and the organization he founded,” said Joseph L. Hooley, State Street's chairman, president and chief executive officer. “As a testament to the Mayor’s efforts, this year we have surpassed all previous fundraising for Camp Harbor View with more than $4 million raised to help give 800 Boston-area youth a safe and fun place to go for the summer.”

“We’re grateful to State Street for being a long-time supporter of Camp Harbor View,” said Mayor Menino. “This gift gives more of our young people an experience they might never get otherwise – Camp Harbor View truly changes their lives and opens their eyes to so many different opportunities.”

In 2012, State Street employees volunteered more than 87,000 hours to nonprofit organizations and the State Street Foundation invested $21.3 million globally on workforce development. In Massachusetts, State Street has provided $19.8 million in donations to local non-profits including more than $3 million to Camp Harbor View.
