State Street Pledges $1 Million to Camp Harbor View in Honor of Mayor Menino

State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), today announced that it
has pledged $1 million in endowment funds for Camp Harbor View, a
summer camp serving Boston’s inner-city youth, in honor of Mayor
Thomas M. Menino who founded the Camp in 2007.

“Mayor Menino has been a devoted supporter of and advocate for
Boston’s youth, therefore we want to honor his leadership and the
organization he founded,” said Joseph L. Hooley, State Street's
chairman, president and chief executive officer. “As a testament to
the Mayor’s efforts, this year we have surpassed all previous
fundraising for Camp Harbor View with more than $4 million raised
to help give 800 Boston-area youth a safe and fun place to go for
the summer.”

In 2012, State Street employees volunteered more than 87,000
hours to nonprofit organizations and the State Street Foundation
invested $21.3 million globally on workforce development. In
Massachusetts, State Street has provided $19.8 million in donations
to local non-profits including more than $3 million to Camp Harbor
View.
