Goldfarb Branham LLP is investigating whether Regions Financial
Corporation (NYSE: RF) violated the federal securities laws.
According to a class action complaint filed in the Northern
District of Alabama, the company was operating with significantly
overstated goodwill and deficient internal controls from February
27, 2008 to January 19, 2009. Concerned Regions shareholders who
purchased before or during that time period are urged to contact
securities lawyer Hamilton Lindley at 877-583-2855 or
hlindley@goldfarbbranham.com.
"According to the complaint, defendants concealed that Regions’
goodwill was grossly impaired since the AmSouth merger," said
securities lawyer Hamilton Lindley. “The company also overstated
that Regions was operating with woefully deficient internal
controls, resulting in inaccurate and misleading financial
disclosures in violation of Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles, including improperly reporting its goodwill.”
Goldfarb Branham LLP is investigating a derivative lawsuit
against company officers and directors for allowing this to occur.
Derivative lawsuits often lead to restored confidence in companies
involved in financial scandal and a resulting increase in
shareholder value. Concerned shareholders who still hold their
shares are urged to contact attorney Hamilton Lindley at
877-583-2855 or hlindley@goldfarbbranham.com to discuss their
rights.
