TOLEDO, Ohio, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Owens Corning, a leading producer of building materials and glass fiber reinforcements, announced that its Board of Directors elected David J. Lyon to the Board on Feb. 7, 2008. Mr. Lyon is a vice president of D.E. Shaw & Co. which owns more than 10 percent of Owens Corning's outstanding stock. Mr. Lyon was elected to fill the vacancy created by the Feb. 5, 2008 resignation of Marc Sole who recently stepped down as a senior vice president of D.E. Shaw & Co.
