Owens-Illinois, Inc., (NYSE: OI)
announces that Radhika Batra has
been named vice president and chief procurement officer.

Batra will be responsible for leading O-I's global strategic
sourcing function and driving synergies across the company's
regional operations to maximize buying power.

Batra joins O-I from Solutia, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer
of chemical and engineered materials, where she was vice president
of business process in the CPFilms segment. In this position, she
helped transform the business by better positioning the sales and
marketing organization to support the company's global growth.
Previously, she served as vice president of supply chain and global
procurement at Solutia.
