TORONTO, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - CGI Group, Inc.
(TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB), a leading provider of information
technology and business process services, today announced it has
signed a six-year, $46.2 million
contract with eHealth Ontario, an
agency of the Government of Ontario. CGI will design, build, implement and
manage a province-wide chronic disease management system and portal
which will be used initially to better manage diabetes care, a top
clinical priority for eHealth Ontario.
As the first system of its kind in Canada, the CGI solution will result in faster

Ontarians living with diabetes. Providing alerts to physicians will
help them better care for their patients.
"Through a rigorous procurement process, it became clear that
CGI has the capabilities and industry expertise we need," said
Greg Reed, CEO of eHealth
Ontario. "This project will
provide a secure, shared registry, accessible by authorized
clinicians, to manage diabetes more effectively. It is an essential
component for Ontario's electronic
health records. It will save lives, limbs and vision, and it will
help make Ontario's health care
system more sustainable."

disease management and portal solution to improve the health of so
many people living with diabetes," said Hitesh Seth, Vice-President, Consulting Services
