Air Products Names Comcast CFO to Board of Directors LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lawrence S. Smith, executive vice president and co-chief financial officer of Comcast Corporation, was elected today to Air Products' (NYSE:APD) board of directors. "Larry brings extensive financial and administrative experience to our board," said Air Products Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John P. Jones. Smith, 57, joined Comcast in 1988 and has served as executive vice president and co-chief financial officer since 2002. Smith also worked in the Philadelphia office of Arthur Andersen & Co. for 18 years, where he served as a tax partner and headed its Philadelphia international business practice and its merger and acquisition practice. Smith holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Ithaca College. His community activities include board positions with Meadowood Corporation and the YMCA of Greater Philadelphia and Vicinity.
