LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa.,
April 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Air
Products (NYSE: APD) will showcase its portfolio of
simple-to-operate food processing solutions designed to help meat
processors maximize throughput at the upcoming AMI International
Expo in Chicago, Ill., from
April 13-16. Air Products'
Freshline® LIN-IS (liquid nitrogen injection solution), DM-tunnel
freezer, and continuous sauce chiller are among the company's
latest equipment solutions designed to help meat processors improve
productivity, increase product yield and lower costs while
producing high-quality products. The company offers not only the
gases, equipment and technology to help meat processors succeed,
but more importantly the industry experience and technical know-how
to help them with many of their production challenges.
Air Products understands that food processors today are looking
for efficient freezing and cooling systems, such as the Freshline
LIN-IS, a specially designed liquid nitrogen injection solution
that can be retrofitted to new or existing mixers, grinders and
blenders for fast, consistent and repeatable cooling; the Freshline
DM tunnel freezer, a highly flexible cryogenic freezing solution
that allows manufacturers to process both IQF (individually quick
frozen) and flat or trayed products in a single machine; and the
Freshline continuous sauce chiller, which uses the high power of
LIN to cool and chill many types of liquids and semi-liquids, such
as sauces, gravies, marinades, broths, purees and mixed meal
combinations.
Air Products will have food specialists on-hand at Booth #733 to
explain the benefits of using cryogenics, help identify ways to get
more value out of existing equipment and processes, and discuss Air
Products' full range of Freshline solutions for the meat industry.
In addition, the company will perform live liquid nitrogen (LIN)
freezing demonstrations to illustrate the rapid freezing ability of
liquid nitrogen. Due to the extremely cold temperature of LIN, food
can be frozen within minutes, instead of the hours traditionally
required with other systems. For meat processors, this faster
freeze can not only improve productivity and increase product
yield, but can also help ensure product moisture and quality are
maintained longer through the formation of smaller ice
crystals.
Air Products has been providing the food industry with solutions
for freezing, chilling, coating, mixing, forming, packaging and
wastewater treatment for more than 40 years. The company has
Freshline solutions for every customer, from large manufacturers
with multiple product lines to small food processors with a niche
product and every operation in between. For more information about
Air Products' complete line of offerings for the meat industry,
