Verint Integrates Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) Technology to Nextiva Video Management System
April 06 2011 - 8:30AM
Business Wire
Verint® Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNT) today
announced that the Nextiva® Video Management software is integrated
with Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology provided by
INEX Technologies. This solution expands the capabilities of the
Nextiva Video Management software by adding the ability to capture
license plate images and data.
This Nextiva Video Management system capability enables users to
easily access captured license plate numbers from a centralized
database and pull up the associated recorded video. Nextiva’s
user-friendly interface allows users to quickly run investigations,
program alerts and “black listed” license plates from an external
registration database while providing real-time alarms. Related
metadata also can be associated to the license plate numbers and
images, including owner, make and model of vehicle.
INEX leverages the most advanced technologies of optoelectronics
and purpose-built processing for the company’s offerings. As
an innovator in ALPR, INEX has been providing equipment for
the most demanding applications since 1993. “This powerful
technology combination of two best-in-class solutions is creating a
lot of excitement among our customers,” says Jim Kennedy,
president, INEX Technologies. “We look forward to the additional
recognition that integration with the Nextiva Video Management
software will bring us in the market.”
“As a leading provider of IP video solutions and a pioneer of
the open-systems approach, we are committed to extending the
breadth and robust functionality of our Nextiva Video Management
system to provide seamless interoperability with complementary
technologies and solutions that provide enhanced value to our
customers,” adds Debjit Das, vice president of global marketing,
Verint Video Intelligence Solutions™. “We are pleased to welcome
INEX’s innovative ALPR system to our portfolio of
integrations.”
