Tractor Supply Invites ‘Pets of All Kinds’ to Pet Appreciation Week
September 11 2017 - 1:28PM
If your backyard is home to a pet pig, dog, cat or goat, mark your
calendar to visit a Tractor Supply Company store Sept. 13-17 for
Pet Appreciation Week and help support local pets.
Pet Appreciation Week, the retailer’s largest pet food and
supply sale of the year, is an annual event to celebrate pets of
all kinds and the families who care for them, according to Phil
Reiter, vice president of local store and national marketing for
Tractor Supply.
This year Tractor Supply, the nation’s largest rural lifestyle
retailer, is kicking off Pet Appreciation Week on Sept. 13 with a
pet supply drive to support pet and animal groups that partner with
stores. From Sept. 13-17, customers can drop off new, sealed food,
toys, cleaning supplies and other essential pet accessories such as
beds, scratching posts, leashes and bowls to be donated to rescues
and shelters in their community.
Tractor Supply works in more than 1,600 communities across the
nation to support a variety of local organizations dedicated to
caring for pets of all kinds, like dogs and cats, but also pets
such as goats, pigs, horses and rabbits.
“At Tractor Supply, we know that not all pets have paws, and
we’re honored to be a pet destination for all the great pets that
live out here,” said Reiter. “Our approach takes our customer's
lifestyle into consideration and we support organizations that
rescue, shelter and home domestic animals of every kind.”
On Saturday, Sept. 16, many Tractor Supply stores will host Pet
Appreciation Week community events featuring activities, such as
pet adoptions, demonstrations on pet nutrition and free Greenies™
dental dog treats for customers while supplies last. Contact your
local Tractor Supply store for details concerning events and other
planned activities.
Additionally, Tractor Supply customers will enjoy discounts on a
full line of products for pets, small animals and livestock,
including items necessary for their health, care, growth and
containment.
