DALLAS, Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments
has announced its fall 2011 schedule of regional Teachers Teaching
with Technology™ (T3™) conferences for math and science teachers.
The one and two-day conferences feature sessions led by educators
experienced in effective use of TI technology. Topics focus on
developing pedagogy, building content knowledge, and increasing
technology skills for math and science instruction.
T3 Regional Conferences are open to all middle grades to
university educators who are interested in using educational
technology to enhance teaching and learning in mathematics and
science. Attendees network with teachers from across the region.
Sessions include demonstrations as well as hands-on participation
activities. Teachers receive ready-to-use classroom activities and
ideas for how to help students learn with TI technology.
"T3 conferences are designed to give educators an opportunity to
enhance their content knowledge and learn new pedagogy skills from
experienced teachers," said Gayle
Mujica, director of the T3 professional development
organization. "T3 regional conferences are a great way to
experience professional learning close to home."
Regional Conferences are scheduled this fall in Mississippi, Texas, New
York and California. The
Mississippi conference is
scheduled for Sept. 16-17 in
conjunction with the Mississippi Council of Teachers of
Mathematics' fall conference. The Texas event is scheduled for Sept. 24 and will be hosted by Texas Woman's University. The New York regional event is scheduled for
Oct. 27-29 in conjunction with the
61st annual Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State fall conference. The
California event is scheduled for
Dec. 2-4 in conjunction with the
California Mathematics Council's CMC North Conference.
