Revolutionary lamp, utilizing MicroLens®
technology, demonstrates superior energy-efficient innovation for
lighting solutions
Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ: RMBS) today announced its revolutionary A19
lamp, first introduced in 2013, has been named as winner in the
Energy Technology category of the EE Times and EDN 2014 UBM Tech
ACE Awards. This lamp, which utilizes Rambus’ patented MicroLens®
optical technology, delivers the light output of a traditional
incandescent lamp with the energy efficiency, durability and
reliability of advanced LED technology. The Rambus MicroLens
technology is also utilized in the WaveStream™ line of LED lighting solutions provided by
Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Division.
“We are honored to be recognized and included among some of the
top innovators in the industry,” said Jerome Nadel, chief marketing
officer at Rambus. “Winning the ACE Award in the energy technology
category is a testament to the dedication of our inventors,
engineers and scientists, and showcases our continued drive to
develop lighting products and technology that help reduce energy
consumption.”
“We are continually amazed at the level of creativity in the
design, innovation and technology exemplified by these award
winners,” said Patrick Mannion, vice president and brand director
at UBM Tech Electronics. “The ACE Awards celebrate the highest
achievements in innovation and creativity in electronics design,
and selecting one organization or individual that stands out above
the rest is incredibly challenging. We are pleased to be able to
celebrate their achievements.”
The Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards celebrate the
creators of technology who demonstrate leadership and innovation in
the global industry and shape the world we live in. EE Times and
EDN ACE Awards were judged by a blue-ribbon panel of industry
experts, comprised of the leading voices of academia, industry
executives and content experts. The winners were announced at an
awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 1 in San Jose as part of the UBM
Tech EE Live! 2014 event.
