CME Group Inc. (CME) said Wednesday that floor trading in Chicago won't start until 10 a.m. CST as the city deals with the aftermath of its largest snowstorm in more than 40 years.

Open outcry trading on the Chicago floors of the world's largest future exchange operator normally runs from 7:20 a.m. CST for its key financial contracts and from 9:30 a.m. CST for the largest agricultural products such as corn.

CBOE Holdings Inc. (CBOE), which runs the Chicago Board Options Exchange, said its floor trading would operate normally.

CME cited weather and travel issues for the delay in a message to traders. Trading on its electronic Globex and ClearPort platforms isn't affected.
