Manoj Kulkarni Joins Career Education Corporation as Chief Information Officer

Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ: CECO) today announced that
Manoj Kulkarni has joined the company as its new Senior Vice
President and Chief Information Officer. Kulkarni will lead and
manage all areas of the company�s Information Technology (IT)
department including systems design, application development, asset
management and computer systems operations. Kulkarni replaces Mark
Griesbaum, who will be leaving the company to pursue other
opportunities after assisting in the transition for a period of
time. Kulkarni brings more than two decades of experience to Career
Education. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Information
Technology for Toys R Us, where he worked since 1993. Kulkarni led
a global IT department in the area of Technology Architecture and
Operations for all the operating divisions of Toys R Us Inc. Most
notably, he reengineered the IT Services organization to align
organizational focus with business growth needs and improve
