MILPITAS, Calif., July 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- California Micro Devices (NASDAQ:CAMD) today announced that Kevin J. Berry has been appointed Chief Financial Officer reporting to Robert V. Dickinson, president and CEO. Berry, who has served as the company's interim CFO since March, brings more than 30 years of senior financial management experience to his new position. "Having worked with Kevin for a number of years in the past and knowing him for more than twenty-five years, I am very familiar with his capabilities as a financial executive and businessman," said Dickinson. "During the past three months it has become clear that he will make an excellent addition to our management team as we focus on the opportunities and challenges ahead." Before joining California Micro Devices, Berry served as interim CFO for several private firms. Prior to that he was vice president of finance and CFO at SteelEye Technology for five years, where he was instrumental in raising $25 million in equity from venture capital firms and strategic partners including SAP, HP, Intel, and Hitachi. Before that, he held the same position for publicly held Connect.Inc.com, where he directed corporate finance, investor relations, accounting and administration, and also led a successful merger with Calico Commerce. During his previous four years with Award Software International as vice president of finance and CFO, he raised private equity from venture capital firms here and overseas and then led the company's successful IPO and subsequent merger with Phoenix Technologies. Earlier in his career, Berry held key financial management positions with Chyron, Mouse Systems, Zilog and Burroughs. He holds BS and MBA degrees, both in Finance, from New York University.
