Kosmos Energy Ltd. on Tuesday said that first gas from its
Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania and Senegal is
now expected in the third quarter of 2023 due to supplier delays
and cost inflation.
The oil-and-gas company had said in February that the project,
which is being developed in partnership with BP PLC, was on track
for first gas in the first half of 2023.
Kosmos also said its net production averaged 52,000
oil-equivalent barrels a day in the second quarter, slightly below
prior guidance due to lower production in Equatorial Guinea.
Full-year production guidance remains unchanged at 53,000-57,000
barrels a day, with a year-end exit rate of around 60,000 barrels
as new wells come online.
Sales volumes averaged 66,000 barrels a day in the second
quarter, in line with guidance.
