Worthington Industries Earns Recognition as a John Deere “Partner-level Supplier” and Hall of Fame Supplier
May 17 2017 - 10:02AM
Worthington Industries, Inc. (NYSE:WOR) announced today that it has
earned recognition as a Partner-level supplier for 2016 and was
inducted into the Supplier Hall of Fame in the John Deere Achieving
Excellence Program. Hall of Fame status is given after a supplier
attains a Partner-level rating for five consecutive years. The
Partner-level status is Deere & Company’s highest supplier
rating. Worthington was selected for this honor in recognition of
its dedication to providing products and service of outstanding
quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement.
“We are extremely proud to be inducted into John Deere’s Hall of
Fame,” said John Lamprinakos, president of Worthington Industries
Steel Processing. “Achieving this five-year milestone is a great
testament to the dedication our employees have to deliver top
quality and service, while finding new ways to improve each year.”
Lamprinakos joined employees from Worthington’s dedicated John
Deere account team to accept the recognition on April 18 during
formal ceremonies held in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Worthington Industries is a supplier of hot-rolled and
cold-rolled cut-to-length steel sheets to John Deere Harvester
Works in East Moline, Ill., and John Deere Ottumwa Works in
Ottumwa, Iowa, for the fabrication and assembly of combine
harvesters and hay and forage equipment.
Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence Program
are evaluated annually in several key performance categories,
including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and
wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply
Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier
evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous
improvement.
