PARIS-Vivendi SA (VIV.FR) Tuesday said Katie Jacobs Stanton, a top executive at Twitter Inc. (TWTR), is set to join the group's supervisory board.

Ms. Jacobs Stanton has been in charge of international development at Twitter since 2010 and recently moved to Paris. She has also worked as a special advisor to the U.S. State Department and worked for Google Inc. (GOOGL) between 1999 and 2009.

Ms. Jacobs Stanton's nomination will be put before shareholders at a general meeting in June. The appointments of Vincent Bollore as chairman and Arnaud de Puyfontaine as chief executive will also be confirmed at the meeting.

The Paris-based conglomerate has completed a number of asset sales as it seeks to focus on media and content assets. Over the past two years Vivendi has sold off major assets, French phone firm SFR and video-game company Activision Blizzard.
