                   ACQUISITION OF CUTHBERT CONDRON ASSOCIATES
                      INTRODUCES NEW SKILLS TO WYG IRELAND


White Young Green Plc, the engineering and environmental consultant, is pleased
to announce the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Cuthbert
Associates Limited, trading as Cuthbert Condron Associates ("CCA").

Based in Dublin, CCA is a mechanical and electrical consultant which, in its
audited accounts for the year ended 31st December, 2001, reported a profit
before tax of Euro281,535 (#182,223) on a turnover of Euro2,065,375 (#1,336,812).  At
that time the company had net assets of Euro369,736 (#239,311).

The initial consideration payable on completion is Euro3,200,000 (#2,043,292) which
will be satisfied as to Euro1,000,000 (#647,249) by payment in cash and with the
balance of Euro2,200,000 (#1,423,948) being met by the issue of  1,007,748 shares
in White Young Green Plc.

Additional consideration of up to Euro800,000 (#517,799) is payable dependent on
the performance of CCA in the first year of trading after completion.  Any
additional payment will be either in cash or shares at the option of White Young
Green.

The transaction will now allow White Young Green Ireland Limited to offer its
clients a more comprehensive multi-disciplinary service.  Cross selling
opportunities should arise for the benefit of the business.

CCA has traded profitably in Dublin for 18 years and has a high order book.  80%
of the forecast turnover for the first year of trading with White Young Green is
already secured.

This acquisition further consolidates White Young Green's position as one of the
leading consultants throughout Ireland where it continues to trade successfully
with an extremely strong order book.

Application will be made to the United Kingdom Listing Authority ("UKLA") for
the consideration shares to be admitted to the Official List of the UKLA and to
the London Stock Exchange for admission for trading on its market for listed
securities and it is anticipated that dealings will commence on 27 August 2002.
