                                 AGM Statement

"Strengthening order book encourages current year optimism"

Peter Hewitt, Executive Chairman of The Wigmore Group Plc, the facilities
management and specialist contracting group, made the following statement to
shareholders at today's Annual General Meeting:

"The last year has seen the Group making a huge advance in its corporate
expansion and I am encouraged by the way that business within the Group is
continuing to develop.

The Speymill acquisition has been fully integrated and its order book is now
increasing ahead of budget. I am particularly pleased to refer to this morning's
announcement from Speymill, which now makes up the Group's Leisure and Hotel
Division. It has been awarded a contract in excess of #2.4 million by Scottish
and Newcastle Retail to build a Premier Lodge brand situated at Heathrow. Work
is scheduled to start in mid August on a new build and fit out to form 133
bedrooms including restaurant and bar facilities. In addition Speymill will also
carry out substantial external work, including car parking and landscaping.

The recently announced acquisition of Blanchards is yet another step in our
expansion programme. Subsequent to that announcement Blanchards has won
additional contracts worth #450,000 and is continuing to perform strongly. The
successful integration of Blanchards within the Group will be a key task over
the next few months and I look forward to this with enthusiasm.

I shall be reporting to shareholders again on the Group's expansion and overall
development with my Interim Statement in September."
