VIROTEC INTERNATIONAL PLC ("VIROTEC" OR THE "COMPANY")

Virotec notes the recent movement in the Company's share price. The Company 
confirms that it has been approached in relation to certain proposals one of 
which may or may not result in an offer being made for the Company. Discussions 
are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer will occur.

The Company has been awarded a contract for its land remediation business in 
Australia which is material in the context of the Company's operations. It is 
expected that, subject to agreeing the text of the announcement with the other 
party, this will be announced shortly.

Virotec will update shareholders in due course on both matters.

The Takeover Panel have informed Virotec that, given the location of the group's
operations and the fact that the central management and control is outside the 
UK, it is not subject to the Takeover Code.
